In many respects the UK Smartmeter news seems to have gone very quiet. Anyone any comments or news on local roll-outs? Is this the lull before the storm?

Smartmeters are definitely being heavily advertised and pushed in the Surrey area and – sadly and shockingly – a lot of people are excited and keen on adding a new piece of gadgetery to their already vast collection of toxic equipment. Unless we manage to raise education levels and to hit with evidence and (seriously health-damaging) facts, the desire to be an innovator will always be stronger than the willingness to go against the grain, question and resist. The real challenge here is on how to give people with current zero ‘pain point’ motivation to stop for second – and think!
