Dear Parents and EHS Leaders,
We know those in California are on a full-court press until September 1 with SB-649 to stop 5G, but we wanted to give heads up that we just got word the two Massachusetts EMF bills assigned to the Joint Committee on Education will be up for public hearing next Tuesday, September 5th at 10 a.m. at the MA State House, room to be confirmed.
This is a rare opportunity to educate our state leaders on EMFs and the need to protect our students and staff in schools. We would be very grateful to those of you who can juggle your schedules to give a three-minute testimony in person in Boston. Otherwise, please take a moment to send in written testimony. A few notes:
- These are the third and fourth EMF Bills to come up for public hearing this session, and we encourage you to send in testimony for each. You needn’t be from Massachusetts to submit.
- I am told it’s best to send testimony once the hearing has been set. Each of the bills whose hearing has been scheduled or held is in red on the MA EMF Bills page. I have created a submission template for each to make it easy for you, which includes the email addresses for the respective committee members reviewing each bill plus other important public servants.
- Next Tuesday, the Joint Committee on Education will hear both H. 2030 and S. 2079 so I have created one template for those bills (also attached here for your convenience). Please read each bill and if you are comfortable, submit testimony or adapt the template accordingly.
Thanks so much for your time and attention, hopefully we will see some of you at the State House on Tuesday! If not, I’d be grateful if you could cc: me when you send in testimony. Please share widely, every voice counts to create a swell.
